Vislift
The primary function of the Vislift is to facilitate fish migration. The design is based on proven insights, but thanks to the flow control and round shape, it has a more favorable flow pattern. The Vislift also generates relevant data from the passing fish and water parameters.
Proven effective for almost all fish species
Based on real-time data, it can be demonstrated that the Vislift is effective for almost all fish species.
24/7 real-time data of fish and water
The built-in sensors monitor passing fish on quantity and species, and the water on water levels, water temperature, flow rate, pollution and blockages. Ecologists, water and level managers gain more insight into fish migration and the parameters of the water.
Automatic water management
Fish species migrate at different times under different conditions, with flow velocity in the fish passage being the most important parameter. The Vislift has a flow technique that controls the attraction flow rate of the fish passage.
Self-cleaning
The Vislift is self-cleaning: the device is periodically rinsed. The built-in sensors also detect blockages. When the cleaning cycle does not yield sufficient results, this is recognized and communicated to the user.
Plug-and-play in 48 hours
The Vislift is compact, structurally strong and almost universally applicable due to its patented round shape. Soil investigation and structural calculations are less relevant. This makes the installation of the Vislift many times more efficient and faster than traditional solutions. The Vislift can be installed and reinstalled at any location within 48 hours.
Also for polder - basin migration
The fish passage can be applied everywhere; even in places with little space and even for polder boezem migration. For this situation, a Vislift UP can be used.

Hydrological and biological conditions
The unique shape of the basins, the dimensions of the swim gates, and the spacious central rest chamber ensure that the energy dissipation remains below 100 W/m3. This energy dissipation mainly occurs next to the swimming lines, allowing a wide variety of fish species to use the Vislift to swim past a barrier.
The processing flow rate varies from 25 to 45 l/s and can be expanded with an internal bypass that increases the attraction flow rate to 70 l/s. If the waterway is larger, the Vislift is equipped with an external bypass, increasing the detectability of the attraction flow.
In extremely dry periods, the water-saving function can reduce the minimal flow rate (per 24 hours) by allowing the Vislift to operate for only a few hours per day.
The Vislift is suitable for almost all fish species found in the Netherlands. The attraction flow rate within the fish passage is adjustable, self-regulating, and can be tailored to the migrating fish species' season and the fluctuating water level. This ultimately determines the migration efficiency.
